About

Uma graduated from Ohio University with a masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has worked with various age groups in a variety of settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, preschools and has provided home-based early intervention services. Uma has worked with children with articulation and language disorders, fluency disorders, auditory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders and more. She really enjoys working with young kids and believes in working together with caregivers and other professionals to make the treatment successful. 

Uma has been married for 14 years and has two beautiful girls and an Aussiedoodle (Fur Baby). Her experience of working with young children has helped her in planning fun-learning activities with her girls. Spending time closely with her kids and observing their learning patterns has been very helpful with her work in turn. In her free time she likes spending time with her family and friends, hiking, biking, traveling and watching movies.
